Abstract
Funnel chest is the most common deformity of the chest wall. It is characterized by a funnel shaped depression of the sternum with sharp angulation and lengthening of the costal cartilages, with the result that the cartilages point posteriorly.
I have experienced 6 cases of funnel chest corrected by Wada method from January, 1984 to April, 1986.
The postoperative course was uneventful.
Late results were excellent in 5 cases and poor in one case that was recommended re operation.
I report these results with review of literatures.
